Ron Ribant nació en 1973 en Mt. Clemens MI. Obtuvo una Licenciatura en Bellas Artes en pintura en 1996 y una Maestría en Bellas Artes en Estudios Visuales en 1998. Ha trabajado como profesor de grabado, manejador de arte, bartender y pescador de langosta. En 2020 vino a Guanajuato, MX, para estudiar español y se enamoró de la ciudad. Después de regresar brevemente a los EE. UU., decidió volver a principios de 2021. Estas pinturas representan un nuevo cuerpo de trabajo creado enteramente en Guanajuato de Guanajuato y son las primeras pinturas al óleo que ha hecho en 25 años.

Ron Ribant was born in 1973 in Mt. Clemens MI. He earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in painting in 1996 and a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Studies in 1998. He has worked as a Printmaking Professor, an Art Handler, a Bartender and a Lobster Fisherman. In 2020 he came to Guanajuato, MX to study Spanish and fell in love with the city. After returning briefly to the U.S. he decided to come back in early 2021. These paintings represent a new body of work created entirely in Guanajuato of Guanajuato and are the first oil paintings he’s made in 25 years.
